The kitchen in this open design is just a step up from the living area. The two levels are a great way to separate the two spaces. Making them flow is the light wood cabinetry and platform steps that include drawers. Instead of using separate upholstered pieces, this designer has used upholsetery cushions and pillows to make seating. The kitchen island pendant lights share the same hue with the panel cabinet doors and dining table lighting fixture.
Scandinavian style isnt synonymous with bright colouring. Exposed brick in reds and greys alongside white French windows and light-wooden furniture are characteristic of the style. Bring Scandinavian styling and dreamy pastels together, with these three apartments for inspiration. Want a baby pink couch in your lounge? Pair it with a pea green coffee table, flowing chiffon curtains and monochrome accessories. Love a boldly patterned wall? Pair your polka dots with pops of pastel and lightly-coloured wood. Smear pastel across iconic prints, afront a mint feature wall. Paint in pastel with these three inspirational interiors in mind.
At 45 square meters in size, this compact apartment doesn’t have much space to create a separate environment for each room – thankfully, the designers were able to use features like sliding curtains and frosted glass doors as flexible partitions where needed. The tour starts with a look at the living room, divided from the office and library area by simple white drapery.
