There’s no beating around the bush: hiding a living room television can be tricky, even if it’s a slender flat-screen! Do you need to cover it completely? Then again, watching TV is a totally acceptable pastime, so why hide it? The degree of disguise is up to you, but if you’re looking to conceal your television in any way, here are a few helpful ideas.
When you have a room in your home that has many purposes, choosing décor can seem a complex task to tackle. If you’re in this situation, you will need to create a design that is as flexible and versatile as the room itself. For example, select furniture that doubles as storage and a media center that can easily be closed to hide bulky or unsightly electronics such as game consoles.
Do not place the whole furniture against the walls. The living-room is a place where you are supposed to socialize, to talk to friends, so if the chairs and sofas are against the walls and away from each other – this will make the conversations impossible. SO make sure you create conversation areas like a sofa and two chairs placed around a coffee table. If the living-room has a large TV set, create the interest area around it.
